You might use a variety of words to describe these uplifting states as I will do throughout this book. What Is Joy? Take a few moments to reflect on what the word “joy” evokes in you. What images come to mind? How is joy most naturally expressed through you? Notice any resistance you may have to the word and, if you need to, find the words that most closely express a state of well-being you value.
